There is nothing more exciting that meeting your baby for the first time!
From the moment you discover your pregnant, you begin to imagine life differently. It’s an exciting time with so much to look forward to. After 9 months, the last few weeks seem to take an eternity as you anxiously await the day you get to hold you baby in your arms for the first time and begin a new life as a family.
Welcoming a new family member into the world is such a special time in your life and one that you don’t want to forget. It is a moment to be celebrated and remembered forever because it marks the moment where your life truly begins.
As parents, it’s a joy to be able to look back and see how much your children have grown and how far you’ve come as a family. This is why it’s so important to capture your baby in the fist few weeks of life.
From the moment they are born they begin to grow so quickly that’s it’s easy to forget how tiny they once were.
Having a collection of beautifully captured photographs of your newborn not only celebrates their arrival and the making of your family but bring a huge amount of joy as you remember how tiny they once were.
The best time to capture your newborn is when they’re between 5 and 12 days old. They are still very sleepy and small which helps capturing those gorgeous posed shots.
Of course, not everything goes to plan once bub arrives and sometimes you need a little more time to find your rhythm as a family. Getting out the door together is no longer as straight forward as it used to be! So, don’t be disheartened if you baby is a little older than 12 days for their photo shoot. I photograph newborn bubs up until they’re 4 weeks old.
However, if you are thinking of having a collection of newborn photographs created, it’s best to book your session well before baby arrives to avoid missing out. I recommend booking your session a few days after your due date. If bub arrives early or later than expected we simply work out the next best available session time for you.
If you’re thinking about creating a collection of newborn photographs to capture this special moment in your family’s life then please get in touch here to book your session.
Because you’ll never regret having too many photos. Only, not enough.
